Green Evolution: Accelerating Dryland Cereals Improvement for Africa

The Rhodes Lab is part of Green Evolution, a Gates Foundation-funded project focused on making upstream scientific discoveries to support NARS-CGIAR breeding networks for Africa's major dryland cereal crops — sorghum and millet. The Biofortification Lab focuses on discovery and deployment of trait technology packages for biofortification of carotenoids, iron, and zinc, as well as end-user preferred grain quality traits.
